MMWR UK LTD is an Edinburgh-based company that designs, manufactures, and distributes passive dual-band microwave and infrared radiometry systems. Our devices are supplied to research institutions, universities, and healthcare organisations worldwide.
The company was founded by Professor Igor Goryanin, Henrik Kacser Chair in Systems Biology at the University of Edinburgh. MMWR UK LTD draws on over 15 years of experience with passive microwave radiometry instrumentation.
Our current products are the MWR2025 and MWR2026 passive radiometry systems. Both devices detect naturally occurring RF (3.4–4.2 GHz) and infrared emissions from the body surface and near-surface tissue. The sensor is passive and receive-only — it does not emit any energy to the subject.
