The Significance of Brain Temperature
Brain temperature is a critical indicator for gauging the onset and progression of conditions like strokes, traumatic brain injuries, dementia, addiction, schizophrenia, and other neurological ailments.
Existing Limitations
Despite its importance, current medical protocols often neglect brain temperature, primarily due to a dearth of non-invasive, cost-effective devices. While invasive methods provide localized readings, they are inherently traumatic. Non-invasive alternatives, like MRI and CT, are often unsuitable or unattainable in emergencies.
The MMWR Initiative
MMWR is at the cusp of introducing a game-changing device that visualizes brain temperature non-invasively, offering dynamic insights into brain tissue health. Our mission revolves around transforming existing sensors into a user-friendly medical tool. The genesis of our current sensor came with significant backing from a major global mobile tech corporation. Our ambition is to create a helmet-like device, integrating multiple sensors to yield continuous data on spatial, thermal, and microwave aspects in a brief timeframe. Even if the resolution is modest, our technology promises swift assessments of brain damage locations and extents, holding promise for TBIs, strokes, and more.
